Overview

Realistic Offroad Physics

Realistic Offroad Physics brings demanding off-road vehicle behavior to your FiveM server. Players can no longer drive every car across mud, sand, dirt, and other soft materials without consequences. Unsupported vehicles sink, lose grip, and become harder to control, forcing players to choose the right vehicle for the terrain.

Each surface material has its own physics parameters:

  • Depth controls how far vehicles can sink into a surface. Deeper surfaces are harder to drive through and can leave vehicles stuck in mud or wet sand.
  • Softness controls how quickly vehicles sink. Harder surfaces like gravel slow the sinking effect, while wet sand or mud can make vehicles sink rapidly.
  • Traction controls surface grip. Low-traction materials reduce acceleration, braking, and turning, causing skids on gravel, rocks, and other slippery terrain.

What It Adds

  • Surface depth behavior across soft materials
  • Vehicles visually sink into the surface
  • Loss of traction on slippery surfaces
  • Realistic handling behavior for each vehicle type and class
  • Seamless, optimized synchronization for each player
  • Extensive configuration for off-road physics tuning
  • Super low resource usage
  • Fully standalone operation with no dependencies

Off-Road Performance Factors

The script calculates off-road performance using:

  • Suspension height
  • Wheel size
  • Driven wheels, including AWD status
  • Weight
  • Wheel count
  • Weather
  • Vehicle class
  • Off-road tires

Server Gameplay Impact

This resource overhauls the driving dynamic on your server. Players need to think before taking a vehicle off-road, and cars not built for difficult terrain are far more likely to get stuck when driven by inexperienced off-road drivers. That makes the no GTA/offroad driving rule unnecessary because the hardest obstacles now favor real off-road vehicles.

Realistic Offroad Physics does not modify vehicle runtime handling meta, keeping it compatible with basically all resources.

Compatibility

Realistic Offroad Physics is fully standalone and works on servers running no framework at all, as well as:

  • ESX
  • QBCore
  • Qbox
  • VRP

About this FiveM script

Realistic Offroad Physics is a premium FiveM script for esx, qbcore, qbox servers. It’s part of the CfxMods catalog, a curated selection of battle-tested resources for QBCore, ESX and Qbox roleplay servers. Every script on CfxMods ships with lifetime updates, secure payments by Tebex, and a ticket system for technical support.

Whether you’re building a QBCore server from scratch, upgrading an ESX Legacy deployment, or migrating to Qbox, this resource drops in cleanly and runs at 0.00ms idle resmon. The config-first design means you can customize prices, permissions and locations without touching the core Lua.
