Overview

KuzQuality Placeable/Throwable Items

Turn inventory items into persistent physical objects players can place, transport, and throw in the world. Instead of valuable cargo staying invisible inside an inventory, drugs, weapons, and other items can become visible 3D props carried through the city, loaded into vehicles, or left on the ground.

Define a model for each item, use fallback models for broader inventory support, and let players interact with items in a way that adds immediate realism to trafficking, transport, storage, and police roleplay.

Physical Item Placement

Players can place inventory items directly into the world as props. Items are no longer limited to being dropped or given - they can also be placed, transported, attached to vehicles, stored in trunks, and thrown.

The script includes its own prop placement menu, using F4 by default. You can also add a Place option to your inventory system if you prefer a direct inventory workflow.

Persistent World Items

Placed items are saved and spawned back after a server restart. This makes physical cargo, stashes, scene props, and transported items feel consistent across sessions instead of disappearing when the server restarts.

Vehicle Trunk Storage

Store placeable items in any vehicle trunk. The script uses a custom algorithm to predict trunk dimensions, helping prevent abusive placements while allowing items to be loaded into different vehicle types.

Items can also be placed on vehicles and stay attached while transported. If a vehicle flips, items can fall out, creating more realistic and visible cargo movement during chases, traffic stops, and crashes.

Inventory And Target Compatibility

KuzQuality Placeable/Throwable Items supports ESX, QBCore, Qbox, and ox_inventory. It also includes optional support for qb-target, qtarget, and ox_target.

The resource is plug-and-play compatible with Quasar qs-inventory and integrates with many popular inventory systems. Custom inventory integration is supported through editable framework and dependency code.

Ox Inventory Integration

When using ox_inventory, the script can work with any framework. ox_inventory support also unlocks additional metadata handling:

  • Item metadata is saved when placing an item
  • Metadata is saved between restarts
  • The script only needs ox_inventory for this workflow
  • Adding a placeable item to ox_inventory is simple

For non-ox_inventory setups, you can add a Place option to your inventory system.
