Script details

FiveM Pet System

A full pet script for QBCore, ESX and Qbox. Pets are commandable, level up, learn abilities, complete daily tasks, manage health, wear accessories, ride in vehicles and breed with compatible partners. Horses and donkeys are included in the model pack.

Pets are built around active roleplay. They follow players, move to a location, attack, sniff for items, ride in vehicles, carry items in a bag accessory and run job-specific behavior for scenarios like police pet work.

Core Pet Interaction

The default Z key opens a quick menu on nearby pets with four commands:

  • Follow
  • Go to
  • Attack
  • Sniff

A pet set to follow will get into vehicles with the player. Pets can also be sent into a vehicle with the go to command.

Progression, Skills and Abilities

Pets gain levels, and every level awards one skill point. Points go into skills or unlock abilities, so pets keep progressing instead of sitting as a cosmetic.

Upgradeable Skills

  • Bravery: decreases the chance the pet flees while attacking
  • Speed: makes the pet run faster
  • Health: increases pet health
  • Toughness: reduces starvation and dehydration rate
  • Sniffing: raises the chance of finding a sniffed item
  • Obedience: improves following and riding behavior
  • Abilities: unlocks special pet abilities

Unlockable Abilities

  • Add health from eating: hungry pets recover health when they eat
  • Search Vehicles: pets can sniff vehicle trunks for already sniffed items
  • Attack Wheels: pets can puncture vehicle wheels
  • Auto Attack: pet attacks when the owner is damaged by a ped not on the friend list, if enabled
  • More Daily Tasks: extra daily tasks for more XP
  • Guard Area: pet wanders an area and attacks anyone not on the friend list

Daily Tasks and XP

Daily tasks give players fresh objectives to run with their pets for extra XP, so the system stays active past the first spawn.

Customization and Accessories

Over 400 accessory compatibilities are supported. A pet fitted with a bag accessory has an inventory locked behind a PIN code that works like any other inventory. UI themes are included so the interface style can be swapped.

Shops, Houses and Veterinary Gameplay

The script ships with 3 default shops: pet, exotic and farm, plus a separate police pet shop. Players can use custom pet houses or the default one. Veterinary mechanics let owners check progress on injured pets and see when they can be taken out again.

Roleplay Mechanics

  • Job-specific limits for sniffing and attacking
  • Friend lists and friendly jobs to stop unwanted pet attacks
  • Leash support for pets with low obedience
  • Horse riding with smooth riding behavior
  • Pet carrying
  • Dog emotes
  • Pet greeting for your own and other players' pets
  • Breeding for compatible pets, configurable by compatibility
  • Pet poop and pee behavior
  • Receive event to insert the pet model and name

  • QBCore, ESX or Qbox
